Auditions and More Auditions

I am just happy that I have been getting a few good auditions already this month. I booked a small voice over gig earlier too and aiming to book another episodic! I am just thrilled that I am doing better and better.

I am working also on my Voice Over demo reel this week as well as my Acting Demo reel to get my Knight Rider spot incoporated. I am looking for my Xbox work, cause I just can't find the Cantonese version anywhere online. I'm a bit weary of buying it and end up finding out it's not in the product. Gotta go to Best Buy and ask them.

I am prepping for another audition today so I'll see what happens. Good stuff!

Fighting off a flu in twelve hours

Last night right before bed I could feel a cold coming. The back of my throat started to ache right around 2am or so when I was about to sleep. I got back up out of my bed and took more OPC-3's. I already had a lot that morning and night because I was trying to use it to take care of my allergies. I didn't want to rely on Zyrtec. It has been working since I was taking it in pretty large quantity.

Well even though I had 6 caps that day already I had another 2 since I felt that cold. I did not want to get sick.

All night last night I started to just toss and turn in my bed because my entire body started to really ache. The back of my throat was feeling rather nasty and I can tell this was one tough bug I am fighting off. I didn't have that great of a night as my body was totally trying to fight off this bug. I totally can feel my body using all its energy to do this hence the aching of my whole body.

Fortunately when morning came...

...the back of my throat was feeling not as painful. It never turned into a nasty sour throat. I was totally waken up around 9 or 10 I think. I really don't remember since I didn't check the clock. I got up to take another 3 more caps of OPC-3's to help fight it off. I was burning under my blanket too, feeling the heat. But I kept my whole body inside the blanket as I tried to get more rest. Then I started to feel a little bit of a runny nose as my throat gotten better. Then about 30 mins after taking the morning dose of OPC-3, I felt the urge to vomit twice. Then that pass and I coughed a couple of times 30 mins later. I finally got up out of my bed at 11am. From then till noonish I got a lot better and the cold was pretty much all gone. I took more OPC-3 this afternoon and now I feel pretty much like I did before this all hit.

So that's my 12 hours flu/cold experience. I am glad I am great now cause I just booked a little Voice over gig for Friday. I was so determined that I will not get sick and I guess my determination with the help of my mom's OPC-3 (Market America brand) really did the job!!!! Now I am all good!!!

Ocean of Thoughts - Album Progress

Here's a little update to the progress of my new album Ocean of Thoughts.

This is cover of the album. I'm very happy I got a nice photo to use for this album. The album is slated to be released in February this year. My audio engineer is going to master it this week for me and I'm going to be getting it up at CDbaby.com very shortly right after. I do have to also press them very soon. I'm planning on printing 50 copies of this CD. But as for the photo book, that will be a print on demand type. If anyone wants to buy the photo book, they will order it to be printed just for the one order until I get a lot of orders.

The album will be about 65 minutes long. I have a lot of tracks for it, but I'm still trying to finalize on some stuff. It's going to be a lot of fun I think, but I will certainly have to really make some decisions as to precisely what I am going to do.

About the other 2 albums Red and Blue, that will also be mastered this week too. I will have those done. But I will need more time to make the CD and stuff. But I am anticipating those two to be released pretty much right after Ocean of Thoughts. I really want to get all of them up on iTunes asap and start selling a few more albums.

Blue is going to be a great CD to really just immerse oneself into. It's all very soothing music. I wanted to create a CD where people could fall asleep with in a good way. It's not boring music, it's just soothing music. It's relaxing and calming.

Red will be much more aggressive but a counter album to Blue. It will have tracks that has a little more umph to them.

I'm very excited about all this and looking forward to it all!

Wine Tasting @ Solvang

I went to my agent's birthday wine tasting event out at Solvang on Saturday. It was really a great experience. I learned a bit more about wines so I won't look totally ignorant in the future when I talk to people about it.

The first winery we went to was rather special too since we were able to taste wines that are unfiltered. We tasted 2 whites from those giant tin tanks and 2 reds straight from the barrels. It really was a really neat experience and I have my agent to thanks. Rod is just so awesome.

I skipped out on the wine stuff at Solvang which was our second stop cause I definitely needed to get some lunch. I don't drink much so I didn't want to end up starving and drinking. That would not be pretty. I had a little lunch at a little restaurant there. It was alright. Nothing that special. I had some sirloin steak. Tasty but forgettable.

Then we went to Bridlewood Winery and tasted a few more there. It was definitely not as special as the one before, and I prefer sweeter wines anyways. Though I know there are people who prefer these. But a few of my friends also didn't care about some of the stuff they drank here. It's fascinating how different people prefer these tiny differences.

Finally we went to Chumash casino. I don't gamble and there really wasn't much to do there. I hung out with a few friends at the bar which was the only place to get any drinks at the casino. Apparently it was an 18+ casino so they couldn't serve any alcohol to anyone at the tables. They could only serve it in the restaurant and only as a part of the meal. So everyone who wanted a drink had to get food with it. It was really interesting actually. Well I didn't get any alcohol drinks, I really don't drink all that much. I got a lemonade and then a Pepsi later. I needed some caffine, but they didn't have Coke. I much prefer Coke over Pepsi. I just don't like the taste of Pepsi, but I had no other choice and was stuck there for a while. Oh well.

I also did have crab cake and clam steamers and fries. Boy were their fries good. I ate a ton of fries there. After that I just chatted. At one point I was down at the gift shop checking it out. It was really a small shop, but they did have a very cool music note clock which I almost wanted, but since it wasn't a piano, I didn't get it.

Anyways, I got home at like near midnight. I was definitely very tire at the end of the day, but it was all good fun. I made some new friends and such.

One little thing was this really rude girl I was talking to. She was a bit buzzed. She was totally rude. I met her a little earlier with her two other friends. She complained about how people in LA aren't all that friendly and that she hasn't made a lot of friends out here in LA. I was just casually chatting with her and her friends. Well at the lounge, I ended up sitting next to her for a moment. I was just trying to make small talks, friendly talks. At one point she asked me if I was in anything that she may have recognized, and then I said maybe Scrubs and Knight Rider. Then suddenly she just turned her back to me completely and started talking to her friend and completely shutting me out. I was like that was the rudest thing anyone have done to me for a while. This coming from someone who complained that people at LA aren't friendly and she's not making any friends. I'm like no wonder you're not making any friends. Here I'm just being friendly and you turn around and just shut me out. Now that's not cool.

Anyways, that's my rant of the day. Other then that, I have met some new people, make a few new friends. But I really don't really like these big long social events. I do better at shorter events. I get rather tired at these things. I like quieter events I think, though I guess unless if they are all really close friends. I can do those 4 hours parties really well. Get in, with that whole I'm ready to socialize, and then network like crazy. But here, I'm just like eh! I still had a good time overall and enjoyed the event tremendously. My agent really gets amazing deals.

Bdays, lots of bdays!

Yesterday was my friend's George Shaw's bday, and today, though the actual day is tomorrow. I can't make his dinner tomorrow so I'm going to this event. Well it at least gets me out of the house for one full day!

I've been staring at the computer way too much lately.

I also forgot to bounce off a few more episodes of my podcast so I will need to do that first thing tonight. I need to bounce off like 4 or 5 at a time which takes like 40 mins to do per hour long episode.

I'm playing a concert tomorrow which would be fun. Going to see how that goes. Also going to send my audio engineer the music on Monday! Excited!

Reverb Nation

Paul%20KwoQuantcast
I'm on reverbnation.com now. It's really a fantastic site! I've been uploading a lot of music and stuff up there. It's got a lot of nice widgets to use on my blogs and such.

Well I'm getting more stuff going on there. I'm not trying that hard to make a huge fan site out of it just yet. Right now I just like their player thing. But if it goes anywhere, sure thing then.

That's about it. I am happy about the recent tracks that I have so it's all good. I'm very pleased with my sample music on my website as well as here at reverb nation. I will keep uploading a ton more music here!

KwoMusic.com

I've been busy working with my friend Tim this week in revamping my KwoMusic.com this week. It's finally live!!!

It took a very very long time and we are still trying to finalize it. But at least it's up and running!

So today I also sent out my direct mail marketing campaign with a marketing flier. It took a long time, but finally done. My friend made the fliers and did all the biz end of calling and getting it printed. I did pay for it of course, 300 of them, printed up the envelops and then stuffed them along with my cover letter.

Yes, I signed all 300 letters personally. I guess it's good practice to do autographs in the future. haha! Some ego I have here eh!

Well I am happy about the progress of it all so it's all good. I am very excited about KwoMusic.com. It's got a ton of my music samples and everything. My friend really have done a phenomenal job of working up a site that's geared towards marketing. Now one day I'll have him brand my acting site too.

Now I only need to make matching biz cards. I gave out most of my old cards in the direct mail campaign so I can get new ones I think I'll make new ones for my acting too soon. I will think on that too. I haven't decided on that yet. But I would like to brand that a little more too accordingly. But I know at least that's not as critical atm since the majority of it goes through my agent and manager anyways.

Also on a side note, my Knight Rider credit is now on IMDB! Woo hoo! I'll post a seperate post on that too soon. I forgot to post the info here!

Playing and Playing and more Playing

I've been playing so much in Second Life, like near 2-3 hours a day, I just haven't gotten back to blogging. This and also working on my marketing of my music too and coordinating with my audio engineer for my next couple of albums, I just haven't gotten around to writing here or anywhere.

It's a bit crazy but things are absolutely falling into place.

I have a friend who is helping me with marketing of my music and my performances in LA and around. He helped me designed a flier and got it all printed and everything. It is just fantastic to finally have a team of people working with me on my stuff, a team of people who really believe in me and what I do.

Yes, I had my agent and manager for my acting, but that's a different story. They are fantastic and they are still churning up great auditions for me!

On top of this, I also have an amazing audio engineer working with me on my new albums. He helped me EQ'ed my sound and so my podcast of concerts after Jan. 1 sounds phenomenal! All my new recordings just sounds so much different. And all his encouragement of my playing and such really helped me grow so much the last month. I have grown so much and I am just so happy about my progress. I think literally I grew more this past month then the whole year that I was playing in Second Life. It's absolutely amazing how much his pushing of me to explore and grow really have done!

Anyways, I'll try to keep up here. I am not abandoning this site at all, nor my enniv zarf me site! I am still here, just need to sometimes focus on some real work!!!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

So it's the new year and now what do I want to do this new year...

Well first of, Happy New Year to everyone!!!!

This coming year, I want to stay healthy, happy and just having fun all the time.

I want to be booking a ton more TV and films that will make me a good chunk of money. I want to be successful and make a name for myself as an actor and as a pianist.

My goals are to come out with a couple more albums, which I'm on my way to doing so. I have one in line to come out which I'm pretty certain of it. Then I will record a few more as a concert in Second Life and then release them. I got a couple ideas that I'm planning if it all goes well. So just have to figure it out from here. I'll see what happens.

I also have to start promoting the contest I entered with a recording for the Yo-Yo Ma thing. I didn't get my piano all correctly set up at that time so the recording isn't as good as the new recordings will now be. I have a fantastic stereo set up now for it and I'm just thrilled about it. I have it very well EQed thanks to some of my online friends. I have this new set up and now it's just fantastic. I am just too happy and excited.

I think everything is going just fantastically well for me this year.

I am going to finish posting up the other two posts about my other days on that trip. I just didn't have time to do that and mainly the energy cause I was out so much the last couple of days and working. Now I finally have a bit of time. So that's coming soon.

The pictures of this trip will be a part of my new album Oceans of Thoughts! That is coming out very very soon. I have most of it recorded already today! Was recording for like over 2 hours today. Really tiring.

I also think I'm going to do a photo series on the new year floats too. Will probably do that tomorrow!!! So much fun!

Have a Happy New Year everyone!
