This week is still going rather strong for me. I am very happy about how many auditions I've been getting and what they are. There has been a good amount of TV Episodic and Feature Film auditions alongside a few commercials. Though commercials is a bit slow. I hope it's not because of what I've been doing.
But at least I can say I'm going really strong in the theatrical department which is what I wanted to begin with anyways. I do believe it pays off to really focus on one thing and not try to do everything. I want theatricals and I want to be booking a few more co-star spots this year. There's a month and a half left this year and I intend to book. I am aiming to book 2 more this year and I'm not giving up. I've read Mark Sikes newest article December Challenge 2008 and I am not giving up. I intend to stay here till at least the 23rd of December. I will probably take a short trip somewhere even if it is just by myself between that time. I'm thinking about just driving up to SF or something for a few days to have fun, or Santa Barbara or something. I need to get away for sure, just need to figure out where.
Well I have an audition later today for a made for TV movie and then on Friday afternoon for a TV episodic producers session.
I have been called to read for a lot of guards and security type roles recently. I really need to keep working out more. I am just glad I have definitely gotten some muscle definitions the last couple of months, but I'm definitely not bulky. I am still healthy and fit enough to play them so I'll just have to see how it goes. Best advantage I do have is my height so that's great. And of course being Asian, the assumption is the martial arts thing so who knows. But yes, I can be a security guard. I am strong. I do have a lot of stamina in my arms thanks to my piano playing!
I just can't wait till my Knight Rider spot comes out. I can then add that to my demo reel. That is a good scene and with good dialogue. Hopefully with that I can get myself on bigger roles auditions that are not ethnic and language specific too.
